What is the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System?
The Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System (CrMS) helps couples understand when they are naturally fertile and infertile. The System also serves as a diagnostic tool, allowing physicians to diagnose and treat underlying reproductive and gynecologic conditions using NaProTECHNOLOGY.
What is NaProTECHNOLOGY?
NaProTECHNOLOGY is an innovative approach to managing women's reproductive and gynecologic challenges. The approach works cooperatively with your reproductive system to correct many underlying conditions. Identifying these conditions will help us restore your health and reproductive function.
NaProTECHNOLOGY helps with:
- Chronic discharges
- Hormonal abnormalities
- Irregular or abnormal bleeding
- Menstrual cramps, Ovarian cysts
- Polycystic ovarian disease
- Postpartum depression
- Premenstrual syndrome or PMS
- Prematurity prevention
- Repetitive miscarriage
What couples like about CrMS
- A system that values, respects and understands fertility.
- Promotes shared responsibility.
- Enhances sexuality and marital bonding.
- Views children as gifts.
- Encourages the involvement of spouses.
Who can use CrMS?
CrMS can be used by every woman, including those who prefer alternative approaches beyond the birth control pill or other prescribed medication to address their health concerns. CrMS also is ideal for women who have regular, irregular or long menstrual cycles, who are breastfeeding or who have stopped using the birth control pill.
A woman's biological markers
CrMS relies upon the standardized observation and charting of biological markers that are essential to understand a woman's health and fertility. These "bio markers" not only help couples understand when they are naturally fertile or infertile, but also serve as a way to identify problems with a woman's health.
CrMS can be used to achieve and avoid pregnancy. Fertility-focused intercourse allows 98.5 percent of couples, who have normal fertility, to achieve pregnancy within six months. The method also is 99.5 percent effective in avoiding pregnancy.
